Checking Vehicle Ownership

Checking Ownership

You can check whether a Seller has clear title to the car they are selling, by -

1.       Viewing the ownership papers held by the Seller.

If the "seller" has the ownership papers, this is a fairly good indication they are the owner. However, you should ascertain the identity of the "seller" by sighting other identification (such as drivers license, passport of birth certificate).

2.       Check if money is owing using new mobile phone service (TEXT B4 U BUY)
"This service costs only $NZ1 per submitted search"
* "There are no additional charges to complete your TXTB4UBUY
search on the website - <> "

3.       Using an internet based service.

Baycorp Advantage provide 3 very reasonably priced online ownership check services. They can even include information about the price of the make & model you enquire about.
